Shawn Brown
The founder, Shawn Brown developed his keen ear and appreciation for quality sound at the age of 9 when he began playing both piano and drums at church. These disciplines organically morphed into an appreciation as a sound engineer to maintain a level of excellence that honors both voice and musical instruments.
Having served in the USMC 1997-2005 (Active Duty) 2009-2011 (Reserve) and having received 14 award ribbons, citations and medals confirm my level of commitment and follow through. At S.E.B. Sounds Group a successful event is when you are outrageously happy with the level of services we provide, where we exhibit a proactive approach to amicably solve any issues or situations that arise and where you trust us to do what you hired us to do.
Gary "Devon" Dotson lives, breathes, and sleeps music. The Chicago native started out playing drums at age 3 at his grandfather's church.
Devon challenged himself to be the best in every aspect of his music, and through practice and preforming with church, school, and even playing with the Sacramento Symphony he formed his own musical identity. Drawing inspiration from a long list of songwriters and musicians to include Sting, George Clinton, Quincy Jones, Prince, and of course Michael Jackson.
Devon's talent stood out and he was selected to tour and play for music greats like Latin percussionist Pete Escovedo and his daughter, Sheila E, percussionist for Prince. Jazz Saxophonist Najee & late great NBA player and Bass player, Wayman Tisdale, Gospel artist Kirk Franklin, Daryl Coley just to name a few.
Devon has been well known in the Sacramento area and has shared the stage for a number of major recording artists including Tony, Toni, Tone' , The Roots, Super producer Timbaland, Missy Elliot, Ginuwine, the late great Aliyah, and many others.
In addition to being a talented drummer, Devon plays violin, upright and electric bass, congas and other percussion, piano, organ and keyboards and also DeeJays.
The latest of Devon's talents requires a merge of all his musical skills as a Music Producer and Songwriter for his Record Label Nite Vision Entertainment (NVE Records)
With his edgy sound and out the box musical thinking he embeds his sound in the minds and hearts of music lovers, comparing his music to Quincy Jones production for Michael Jackson or Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis.
Having already produced music for major networks like MTV, VH1, Fuse TV, Bravo, NBC just to name a few, Devon's journey is just getting started.
